PVC (polyvinyl chloride) has been the industry-standard mat and carpet backing for decades, durable, moisture-resistant, and excellent grip on hard flooring surfaces.
PVC Coating for Carpets and Mats
Compact PVC
Dense, solid PVC layer. Maximum grip, high durability, moisture-proof. Standard for entrance mats, kitchen runners, and commercial floor coverings. Available in a wide range of thicknesses and shore hardnesses.
Foamed PVC
Cellular PVC structure that adds cushioning and reduces product weight relative to thickness. Used where a softer feel or additional underfoot comfort is required — bathroom mats, decorative rugs, kitchen products.
Custom specifications
We apply PVC across a range of coating weights and thicknesses. Standard specifications are available; custom specifications can be developed for volume customers with specific performance requirements.
TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) is a recyclable, halogen-free alternative to PVC. It delivers grip, flexibility, and moisture resistance comparable to PVC — without chlorine-containing compounds.
TPE Coating, Recyclable and Halogen-Free Backing
Halogen-free
No chlorine-containing compounds. Compliant with RoHS and equivalent European chemical regulations. Passes retailer eco-specifications where PVC does not.
Recyclable at end of life
Thermoplastic material that can be reprocessed. TPE-backed products meet circular economy and extended producer responsibility (EPR) requirements increasingly common across Europe.
Cold-temperature flexibility
TPE does not harden or crack at low temperatures, an advantage for outdoor-adjacent applications and products used in unheated spaces or during winter transport.
